About Us

Laying Hen Farm is a 10 acre, family farm located in Hillsborough, NC. Our interest in sustainable agriculture began with just 6 hens, purchased on a whim, and quickly grew from there. 

We grow a wide variety of naturally delicious vegetables, fruits, and herbs for CSA by employing organic soil building practices such as composting, cover cropping and crop rotation. We need no outside fertilizers or soil additives since we employ biodynamic practices by integrating our animals into the farming system.
