2025 Homeschool Programs
Laying Hen Farm is excited to now offer year-round, outdoor programs for various ages and interests.
Our fully fenced, 10 acre property has both cultivated land and natural woods which creates the ideal space for children to connect with nature in multiple settings.
Our unique programs offer a learning experience which encourages team work, engages the body, and builds self esteem while emphasizing respect for the natural world and each other.
Most importantly, we maintain an inclusive and safe space for kids to be themselves and have fun!
Farm Kid Fun
Ages 6-14
Come spend the day outside climbing trees, mucking out barns, playing games, planting seeds, and making friends. Children will help out with seasonal farm work, harvest produce from the gardens, craft natural items, and milk the goats. We allow flexibility with our activities to support campers’ interests and introduce new experiences in a gentle and positive manner. The daily schedule provides plenty of free time for kids to visit their favorite spot, catch up with a friend, pick some flowers, bring treats to an animal buddy, or build a fort in the woods.
Children may extend their visit by joining the Learn to Work, Work to Learn program (details on the Farm Camps page).
